We worked with The Real Food Team on a campaign to inspire local people about the food they eat.
Real Food Wythenshawe is a five year Big Lottery funded project which encourages and supports local residents to live more sustainably with a message of ‘Grow it! Cook it! Eat it!’
Working with key partners Real Food has delivered workshops, events, courses and demonstrations across Wythenshawe to help people learn more about choosing and cooking healthy food as well as supporting people to grow fruit and vegetables.
The Project has successfully engaged with over 19,504 local people over the last 3 years. As part of this project, we worked with Real Food and The Newlife Community Centre on a ‘Spud Club’ which involved transforming tired land surrounding the fledgling community venue into a vibrant growing allotment allowing local people to grow their own produce.
We were instrumental in attracting significant European funding, engaged a survey team to design the growing areas to ensure the best use of the space.
