Green Spaces Fund

Working together in partnership

The £2.6m Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund supports community-led projects that increase the amount and quality of accessible, nature-rich green space in the city region, particularly in the areas where people need it most. This fund has been a successful outcome of Andy Burnham’s Manifesto to create a greener Greater Manchester, with 86 successful groups receiving funding across all ten boroughs.

City of Trees along with Groundwork Greater Manchester, RHS, Lancashire Wildlife Trust and Sow the City are all partners in this GMEF fund, offering advisor help to applicants who have a keen interest in improving and creating greenspaces for all to enjoy.

Our City of Trees advisor covers Stockport and Tameside but has worked with groups across the region to help diversify their green spaces with trees.
