The Details
Join us for a day of tree maintenance and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees! We will be maintaining previously planted trees by securing mulch matts and woodchip around the base of the trees to help with vegetation management. The trees have been planted in response to the climate and biodiversity emergency. They create healthier, happier communities, tackle the climate crisis head on, reconnect us to our natural world, and provide essential habitats for wildlife.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Tools we will be using include rubber mallets, wheelbarrows and spades. This activity does involve kneeling down, please do let us know if you have any concerns about this activity and we can provide further information. There is a portaloo on site. This activity is suitable for all ages.
The event will run until the work is completed so on some days we may finish earlier than 3pm – please let us know if you will be coming later in the day and not arriving at 10am by emailing team@cityoftrees.org.uk
