Join us for a day to maintain and clean up at Boz Park become a Citizen Forester with Bury Council and City of Trees!
During the session we will be carrying out some tree maintenance at the site, giving our young trees at Boz Park some Tree-LC. We will be carrying out this work to ensure that the these trees reach establishment and create woodland areas that will support the local wildlife whilst also responding to the climate emergency.
We will also be carrying out litter picks and clearing Himalyan Balsam from the site to provide a clean and biodiverse site for local wildlife.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for all ages.

Parking/public transport
- There is limited residential parking around the site, please be mindful when parking.
- Bus 94 operates between the site and the Prestwich Metrolink stop; Bus 97 also operates in the area
About the site
Boz Park is a public park. The area where we will be working has uneven ground. A portaloo will be available on site for volunteer use.
