Andy Johnson

Assistant Project Officer

Andy has joined City of Trees as Assistant Project Officer. Previously, Andy taught Secondary Geography in Salford and Manchester, and studied Geography at University of Liverpool. Originally from South Norfolk, Andy also has experience volunteering with Suffolk Wildlife Trust to manage significant lowland heath ecosystems.

Andy is a strong advocate for outdoor education, and spends his spare time running, hiking, and cycling in nearby green spaces. He believes that maintaining quality green spaces in critical for the development of young people.

Andy’s favourite trees are Eucalyptus trees due to the vibrant colour of their bark after shedding, and their adaptation to grow wildfire-resilient seeds.
