Dementia Friendly Walk

Monthly

Our Dementia Friendly walk this month will be an hour long, including a Butterfly walk and minibeast hunt – we will have some socially distanced tables and chairs on the lawn to complete our activity after the walk.

This month we will be at Smithills Hall on Thursday 8th July and we have two time slots for you to sign up to:

11am and 2pm.

The Meeting Point this month will be the public carpark outside Smithills Hall entrance doors.

Our theme is Butterflies & the worlds of our UK minibeasts. We’ll be doing the ‘Big Butterfly Count’ and then making butterfly feeders to take home to help the Butterflies of Bolton.  As always, we will be having a good chat and catch up.

Our walks will be 1 hour long and remain outdoors at all times so wear suitable footwear and clothing. Please bring your own refreshments.

Please contact us to book your place on the walks. We will be sticking to social distancing measures and all equipment we provide for activities will be sterilized before-hand. We aim to make your experience as relaxed and enjoyable as possible To book a place or for more information, contact us via email.

We can only have small numbers in our walking groups, so we are still working on a 'first come, first served' booking system. If you would like to book, email CharlotteAtty@woodlandtrust.org.uk with your preferred time slot.
