Citizen Forester Woodland Management at Kingsway Park, Trafford

The Details

Join us for a day of woodland management and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!

We are carrying out this work to maintain a healthy and sustainable woodland that supports local wildlife and the surrounding community. The work will involve using a range of tools, including pruning saws, bow saws, secateurs, and loppers. Litter pickers will be provided, and our staff will provide all the necessary training needed to carry out the tasks. We will be largely crown lifting (cutting back lower branches of trees) to allow more light into the woodlands, laying willow limbs to create Willow Tit habitats, and creating deadwood to provide habitats.

All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults.
