The Details

Join us for a day of tree planting & maintenance and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!

We are planting and maintaining trees in response to the climate and biodiversity emergency. They create healthier, happier communities, tackle the climate crisis head on, reconnect us to our natural world, and provide essential habitats for wildlife.

All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for all ages.

Time & Location

• 10am-3pm. We will start at 10am, please note we may finish earlier than 3pm if all the work is completed. Please arrive as close to 10am as possible.
• Buckingham Drive, Dukinfield, SK16 5BZ.
• Meeting point – please meet us at the entrance to site on Windsor Drive. You will see the flag and gazebo of City of Trees. Please see photo below for exact location (what3words: ///active.retain.tile). If you are unable to find us on the day, call Hannah (07519 326206) or Rosie (07741655479).

Parking/public transport

• There is residential street parking around the site. Please be mindful when parking and try to car share where possible.
• The closest bus stop is ‘Water Grove Road MANAWJAP/MANAWDAP’ which is a 5 minute walk away. The nearest train station is Stalybridge, 35 minutes walk away.

About the site

Buckingham Drive is a public green space. The area where we will be working is grassed over with no formal paths. There will be access to seating all day and a portaloo on site.
