Citizen Forester Tree Maintenance at Crossford Bridge, Trafford

The Details

Join us for a day of tree maintenance and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!

By mulching the trees and carrying out tree maintenance, we will be giving our young trees at Crossford Bridge Playing Fields some Tree-LC. We will be carrying out this work to ensure that the these trees reach establishment and create woodland areas that will support the local wildlife whilst also responding to the climate emergency.

All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. You will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for everyone. The event will run until the work is completed so on some days we may finish earlier than 3pm – please let us know if you will be coming later in the day and not arriving at 10am by emailing team@cityoftrees.org.uk

• Dane Road tram stop is a 7 minute walk away. 778 bus is a 5 minute walk away. Buses 86, 245, 263, 734, 756, 757, 762 run to Cross Street, and there is an entrance to the playing fields at ///golf.rips.flags

About the site

Crossford Bridge is a publicly accessible sports ground. The area where we will be working is mostly flat, short grass, and it is likely to be muddy. We will be working in areas without hard standing formal paths. Toilets will be available at the café on site.
