Citizen Forester Tree Planting at Peel Green Cemetery, Salford

The Details

Join us for a day of tree planting and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!

We are planting trees in response to the climate and biodiversity emergency . They create healthier, happier communities, tackle the climate crisis head on, reconnect us to our natural world, and provide essential habitats for wildlife.

All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for all ages.

Parking/public transport

The site is accessible by bus number 10, 33B, 67, 67A, 795, 995, 996, 997
Parking is available on the external road at the cemetery. Please use the left hand section as you drive into the cemetery first (See map below).

The site

Peel Green Cemetery is a public site. The area where we will be working is flat and grassy, and has no formal paths. A portaloo will be available on site for volunteer use.
