The Details
Join us for a day of tree maintenance and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
We will be carrying out important tree maintenance, giving our young trees at Brocstedes Park some Tree-LC. During this session we will be removing competiting vegetation from around the young trees and replacing mulch matts and woodchip. We will be carrying out this work to ensure that these trees reach establishment and create woodland areas that will support the local wildlife whilst also responding to the climate emergency.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults and older children this is because vegetation removal may require the use of sharp tools. If you are interested in bringing young children to this event please contact our team to see how you can be involved
