The Details
Join us for a day of balsam bashing and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
We’ll be heading down to Cob Kiln Lane to manage and remove Himalayan Balsam, an invasive species. This species overcrowds our native woodlands, so we’ll be spending the day pulling it out.
No tools are needed, and gloves will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear – long sleeves/trousers are recommended for working among the long vegetation! Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for all and is a low intensity activity.
We will bring drinking water for you to refill a water bottle and stay hydrated!
