Citizen Forester Tree Planting and Maintenance at Boz Park, Bury

The Details

Join us for an afternoon of maintaining the woodland plots at Boz Park and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!

During the session we will be planting a small number of trees to re-establish areas of the plots and carrying out vital tree maintenance, giving our young trees at Boz Park some Tree-LC. We will be carrying out this work to ensure that the these trees reach establishment and create woodland areas that will support the local wildlife whilst also responding to the climate emergency.

All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. You will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for all ages.

Parking/public transport

There is limited residential parking around the site, please be mindful when parking.
Bus 94 operates between the site and the Prestwich Metrolink stop; Bus 97 also operates in the area

About the site

Boz Park is a public park. The area where we will be working has uneven ground. A portaloo will be available on site for volunteer use.
