We're looking for two Assistant Project Officers to join our team! The role of Assistant Project Officer will be primarily to assist in the planning and delivery of a range of different projects across Greater Manchester. These projects include tree planting, woodland management, greenspace improvement, conservation works and environmental education. Part of the role will also include supporting the delivery team with the organisation’s programme of activities such as corporate working days, volunteer sessions and a variety of public events.
At City of Trees, we want to attract the best talent therefore, we encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. We are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to a policy of treating all our employees and job applicants equally and avoiding any potentially discriminatory practice.
Right now, City of Trees is growing and we’re looking for a Digital and Social Media Assistant to join us on our journey. We are looking for someone who loves creating content and dreaming up campaigns. So, if you love all things social media, and can bring fresh energy to our digital channels whilst addressing the climate emergency – we want to hear from you. While experience in the field is desirable, what shines for us is someone brimming with enthusiasm for what we do, is creative and confident and has a real passion for the environment.
This exciting and varied role will be responsible for managing City of Trees’ social media channels. You will also look after the City of Trees website, adding news and events as well as developing and improving the site. We’ve got lots going on and we are looking for someone who can clearly communicate our movement across the breadth of the social and digital spectrum.
You will be part of a friendly, busy and hardworking team which is leading the movement for a greener Greater Manchester. Whilst you need the ability to work independently, you will be supported by the Communications Manager, also working closely with the Fundraising Manager.
We want you to have a positive, energetic and fresh approach, built strong relationships and take our social and digital media to the next level!
We are an equal opportunities employer who will consider all applications from applicants from all backgrounds.
