The Queen's Green Canopy Tree Planting Day

Saturday, 4 December, 2021 - 10:00

In partnership with The Queen's Green Canopy Committee, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and Greater Manchester Combined Authority, join City of Trees for a day of tree planting at Gatley Hill, Stockport. The Queen's Green Canopy is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

Book on for one of multiple planting sessions across the day and come and help to create a legacy in honour of The Queen’s leadership of the nation, which will benefit future generations. Greater Manchester is a Queen's Green Canopy 'Champion City' and so we will be planting hundreds of trees in Stockport at Gatley Hill to mark the occasion on 4th December.

Register for the event here.

Bring your spade and get tree planting! We will supply all other planting equipment to help you plant the trees. We will have a limited supply of spades available on the day for those who don’t own spades - however to guarantee you have one, bring your own along. Please do wear warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy, closed-toe footwear.

Every participant will receive one free hot drink voucher to be redeemed during the day.
