Outwood Country Park, Bury: Green Recovery Challenge Fund

We are building a Green Recovery to increase people's connection to their green and blue spaces and tackle the climate emergency using nature-based solutions in Bury.

Volunteer to help restore habitats, improve biodiversity and increase the value of your local woodland.

What: Heathland management

When: Thursday 11th August 2022 10am-3pm

Where: Outwood Country Park, Bury. Exact meeting point location to be sent out on sign up and closer to the event date.

Join City of Trees at Outwood Country Park, Bury for a day of heathland and woodland management. We will be working to remove young tree saplings from the heathland area on site to help conserve this important habitat and managing the nearby woodland areas by removing excess summer growth aswell as completing other tasks to improve the habitat for our native flora and fauna and the local community who use the park. All tools will be provided, please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work.
