Natural World Webinars: Butterfly ID Session

Thursday, 22 July, 2021 - 19:00

Dave Winnard leads this fantastic session on how to ID our UK butterflies for our next Natural World Webinar. Learn how to identify these insects as the Butterfly Conservation's Big Butterfly Count gets underway. With special guest - insect activist Liam Humphreys!

As we can now get out and about in nature with friends and family, why not learn how to identify the butterflies around you.

You can pass this knowledge onto your children for a fun outdoor activity and don't forget we have our GoWild kid's activity resources to help you.

If you would like to participate in some citizen science and help the Butterfly Conservation assess the state of our UK butterfly populations this session is FOR YOU.

Our webinar will begin with an identification session from Dave Winnard, you might recognise his name from our fantastic Forage and Feast blogs every month. Dave is a wildlife expert as well a foraging enthusiast and you can find his natural history company Discover the Wild here.

The webinar will end with a presentation from student Liam Humphreys on the insect decline crisis.

If you would like to attend our webinar then please register here.

Join the webinar at 7pm on Thursday 22nd July, we're looking forward to seeing you there!
