Put a Spring in your step with this guided sketching session by award-winning Manchester sketcher, writer and photographer Len Grant in partnership with City of Trees.
Len is passionate about telling stories through art and in 2018 published his first sketchbook, ‘The Rusholme Sketcher’ following a year-long blog:http://www.therusholmesketcher.co.uk/. He continues to tell the story of Manchester’s places – and people – through this engaging and insightful medium.
This 2 hour session is suitable for absolute beginners, no previous experience required and will include: An inspirational introduction; demonstrations on easy-to-grasp techniques and short practice exercises. There’ll also be time for chat and questions. Participants will be on video and can choose to show their art to others on the Zoom.
If you would like to join us for this fun, relaxed webinar then please register for the event here!
What you’ll need: You can get involved with just a biro and some sheets of A4 paper. If you have access to drawing materials then all the better. Len recommends a fineliner pen(0.5 or similar) and an inexpensive sketchbook. Some colours – watercolours or even kids’ crayons – would also be useful.
This session is free but if you would like to make a donation to the City of Trees movement you can do this online – www.cityoftrees.org.uk/donate or text ‘CITYOFTREES’ to 70085 to donate £3.
