Longford park stories

Saturday, 27 November, 2021 - 11:00

City of Trees are working with People’s Voice Media, Trafford Council and Friends of Longford Park to start conversations about what outdoor and green spaces mean to people in Trafford.   We are really keen to hear about how people use - or don't use - the local parks and similar spaces, and we want to listen to a wide range of voices.

What's your experiences of using outdoor and green spaces?

What do they mean to you? How would you like to use them? What stops you using them?

City of Trees are working with People’s Voice Media, Trafford Council and Friends of Longford Park to start conversations about what outdoor and green spaces mean to people in Trafford.   We are really keen to hear about how people use - or don't use - the local parks and similar spaces, and we want to listen to a wide range of voices. This work is part of a wider National Lottery Heritage Fund project that is going to help develop Longford Park into an even better place for people to explore and connect with.

    Ways to get involved

  •  Join a storytelling session: 11am - 1pm, 27th November at Stretford Public Hall, Chester Road, M32 0LG. Here you can meet other local people and share stories about how you use - or don't use - outdoor and green spaces. The People's Voice Media team will be there to share some storytelling skills with you to help you have your say on Longford Park's future development.
  • Arrange a 1-2-1 story call: If you'd like to share your story but can't make the storytelling session, then email enquiries@peoplesvoicemedia.co.uk before 19th November to arrange a 1-2-1 storytelling call via Zoom.

These session will feed directly into the recommendations about how outdoor spaces can be made more engaging and accessible for people in Trafford. Email enquiries@peoplesvoicemedia.co.uk
