Companies asked to ‘Plant a tree this Christmas’

19 October 2016

City of Trees is urging businesses throughout Greater Manchester to plant a tree this Christmas.

Companies can choose City of Trees as their charity this festive season and make a real difference in transforming the landscape of Greater Manchester.

Organisations can get involved in two ways:

  • Send a Christmas e-card - include the City of Trees logo and make a donation towards greening Greater Manchester.
  • Host a practical planting day - we have a number of sites across Greater Manchester where your staff, clients or customers can plant their very own tree.

Tony Hothersall City of Trees comments; “Trees deliver a whole range of benefits from creating healthier, happier communities to combatting climate change, reconnecting our children to the natural world, and providing essential habitats for wildlife, making them an essential part of the future of any city.”

“It would be great if businesses could ‘go green’ this Christmas and support City of Trees, helping us to transform the landscape of Greater Manchester by planting 3 million trees – one for every man, woman and child across the region”.
