Join our Tameside Citizen Forester group during October and help to improve your local green spaces for both wildlife and users!
Whether you give 1 day, 1 week or 1 hour, by becoming a Citizen Forester, you're spreading the word about the City of Trees movement and helping us to achieve our vision of bringing more woodland back into positive management across Greater Manchester.
On the 31st October, we will be tree planting at Lees Park in Droylsden. This will help to improve the age diversity of the trees on the site and increase wildlife diversity.
Session takes place 10am - 2pm; gloves, tools and equipment provided.
Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for working outside, in potentially wet conditions. Light refreshments are provided. Please note there is no toilet available at this site.
Meeting point: Lees Park neighbouring Legh Drive M34 5TG, the planting site is located near to the southern entrance to Lees Park.
Parking is possible and the end of Lynwood Grove M34 5TJ or Legh Drive M34 5TG, Droylsden, Thameside. The walk through the park to the planting site.
