Join our Tameside Citizen Forester group during October and help to improve your local green spaces for both wildlife and users!
Whether you give 1 day or 1 hour, by becoming a Citizen Forester you're spreading the word about the City of Trees movement and helping us to achieve our vision of bringing more woodland back into positive management across Greater Manchester.
On the 28th October, we will be tree planting at Copperas Field in Droylsden. This will help to improve the age diversity of the trees on the site and increase wildlife diversity.
The session takes place 10am - 2pm; gloves, tools and equipment will be provided.
Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for working outside, in potentially wet conditions. Light refreshments are provided. Please note there is no toilet available at this site.
Meeting point: At the very end of Buxton Lane, where the public footpath enters Copperas field.
Parking is potentially possible on Copperas Lane or Buxton Lane M43 6GH. Then walk through the park to the planting site.
