Join in the Big Butterfly Count 14 - 6 August.
The Big Butterfly Count helps assess the health of our environment. Butterflies react very quickly to change, so their decline warns of other wildlife loss so counting butterflies and day-flying moths is “taking the pulse of nature”.
Counts last for 15 minutes during bright weather anywhere: from parks, school grounds and gardens, to fields and forests; on a walk or a fixed position.
